I collected DS970 after a week and was told that that did a reset - internally. Not the normal reset as in the manual. The display appears to be okay now ( about 18 hours ) but the most important is the reception improved so much that I could still listen 10 feet away with the door shut.
Before the reset, i used to have frequent breakup in audio like when i put the phone in my pocket. but now all that have gone. I read somewhere in the in this forum someone complaint about similar problem. If you have problem of breaking audio if you turn away from the phone, maybe, you should bring to SE service center. I never realised that was a problem until I sent it for repairs., although for a different reason.

Two days ago the dark screen problem recurred. SE changed the LCD display screen. Anyone having similar problem?

On 14Oct2006, the problem refused to go away and my screen is again gone dark. This time SE replaced it with a brand new DS970. Just wondering, can this be due to overcharging. I got the habit of charging overnight irrespective of the battery status?
