Yes there are different themes with different icons for the menu, and on a w810i if you have it de-branded or re-flashed with original Sony Ericsson w810i software, it will come with the oh so popular Orbit and Equalizer flash menu's , Ive just done mine and its mint, I use the orbit one with a little vibration burst every time I move from icon to icon, it rocks!

Yea and animated themes where the icons change upon implementation, are just restricted to the three known ones - equalizer, orbit etc. As at now, we can't create our flash themes yet. Simply because these flash files for these themes, are embedded in the phone's firmware. But hopefully, SE would come up with a safer way for us to be able 2 create our own flash themes.

Some people have tried to edit the .xml files and stuff in the themes but because the actualy flash files are in the phones firmware, they experience trouble getting their .xml edit to co-ordinate with the firmware files. Anyway just wait and somebody will sort it out.

it's actually not that difficult once you've cracked the sequence of events.
Create your own theme with theme creator. Open it with tugzip and extract
everything to a folder. Edit the theme.xml to include the desired flash menu
specification line (one of the 3 the 810 has !!). Recreate the theme by
using tugzip (select all the files in the folder, except "thumbs" , make the
archive name equal your theme name with and extention of .thm, but an
archive type of TAR) and upload to the phone.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

@glorfingal:
do you mean you can create your own flash theme with that i mean changing the orientation of the menu item in the way you want them?
have you successfully done any theme on your own or any other you know of using this method of yours?

i think with this method you still get them default orientation of the embedded themes and nothing new. is it so?

google for tugzip - can't remember where I got it from - sorry.

Yes it is possible.

If you use the correct line syntax you'll get orbit, equalizer or emerge
main menus with vibrate in your own themes.
The line you need to add is .....

Desktop_style Type="File" Source="orbit.swf"

Add the brackets and slashes to match the other lines and change
orbit to one of the others if you prefer them.

Put this immediately below the theme version line.

Once you've saved this file and (re)created your theme DO NOT open it using
theme creator as this line will be removed !!!!

I need to point this out. With this method, you only get to use the exact orientation of the equalizer, orbit etc on your own made themes. It doesn't give u a new orientation as you may wish.
i think people need to read this:

true enough.
Those lucky enough to have CID36 phones can change the main menu
completely, us poor CID49 users ........

And yes we're stuck with only the ones that come with the relevant
firmware. So at present you can create your own flash themes BUT
they'll only be able to use Orbit, Emerge, Equalizer - And that's only
if you have a non branded handset.

hat you can't do is use an SWF from a.n.other phone. An example is
the breakbeat.swf - it's not on my 810i so any theme I create using
this gives just the original main menu.
