K800i fastport > PC speeds extremely slow

I have an unbranded, unlocked k800i with 1gb M2.
My desktop and laptop both have USB2.0 ports.
When I want to transfer MP3's to the phone in either "telephone"-mode or"file"-mode my speeds are around ~250-300 Kilobyte per second. I have used MyPhoneExplorer and transfer through the Windows Explorer (in Mass Storage Mode).

Now the k800i specs say that it supports USB2.0 speeds up to 12Mbits wich in my book equates to around ~1500 Kilobyte per sec.

I have the SE drivers installed and the newest firmware update has been done. Does anyone know how to increase speed or is this fastport just slow?

well this is interesting.... although speeds are listed on other sites as "up to 12Mbit" the SE knowledge base states:

The Fast Port Connector is not USB 1or USB 2.

It is just a serial interface capable of interfacing with a USB1 or USB2 interface.
USB 1 or USB 2 depends on what the PC supports.

The fast Port Connector is just a connector compatiable to the USB. Thats why you did not see an error message from the computer when you plug in the DCU-60.

The transfer rate of data from Fast Data Port is 3-4 Mb/s.

wich is still 200KBps faster but way under par in my eyes!
