My guess is that you haven't placed the files in their correct folders. The first time the M2 is inserted in the phone, the phone will create a number of folders on the memory stick. Files located outside of these folders, or on the root directory of the memory stick, cannot be found by the phone.
A second thing is that the phone only recognises certain file types. For example, you may very well transfer a MS Word document to the memory stick, either while the M2 is placed in a cardreader on your PC or by using the USB cable connected to the phone and the M2 installed in there, but the phone will still not be able to display the contents of the document. (The N*a N80 is, though)

Thanx Guys

The card is inserted but the phone says it isn't.
The phone hasn't put folders onto the card.
How do I format the card to the phone especialy when it says the card is not inserted?

As I understand it, you put the M2 in a card reader connected to your computer first, and added files before putting the M2 into the phone. It might be worth a try to delete everything from the card using the computer. There might even be a format option on the computer. But try "delete" first.

Another thing you might try is to create the directory structure yourself, using your computer interface. The directory structure should basically be a copy of the directory structure in the phone memory. A standard M2 file structure should look something like this:
\\
\\DCIM
\\DCIM\\100MSDCF
\\Music
\\Music\\ringtones
\\Musiv\\videodj
\\Other
\\Other\\conversations
\\Picture
\\System (*)
\\Theme
\\Webpage
\\Webpage\\bookmarks
\\Webpage\\saved_pages
\\Video

(*) This is a system folder that maybe isn't visible on your PC unles syou have the "show system files" setting activated. There is a vast substructure of this folder, and I'm not sure about what it looks like.

There are also two files in the root directory:
MEMSTICK.IND
MSTK_PRO.IND
Both these files are empty.

As I mentioned before, files you have already put on your M2 should be placed in any of the folders above, in apropriate folder according to the file types, of course.

Thanx altemyr

I deleted everything off the card and put it into the phone and the phone didn't recognize the card.

I did have the .IND files and the directories you mentioned....

So I think it is time to take the phone back and see if it is the phone that is faulty (
