is there any link i can follow to find some flash themes that are w850i compatible?
I had the w810i for some time and i loved that flash themes

I have read on the internet, that W850 should have 4 flash themes from SE, each of them enables you to set different look to the main menu grid. Bought mine from O2 last week, but I coudl find any of these themes in there.
Should the menu change appearance with the theme straight away, or do I have to do something else as well? |

Ok, to enable all of the flash themes you need to debrand your phone. Some operators allow you to use one or two, and some don't allow any of them.
Debrand your phone and you can use them. One is called Orange Bubbles, grouped, and female line. If anyone knows of another one please send it to me, cause I only have three. |

I have all these in my phone, but unfortunatelly none of them actually changes the look of the main menu.
The phone is O2, but I was under the impression that O2 doesnt customise its handsets...? |

mine shows the walkman info i.e song and artist but has normal 3 menu on grouped and on orange bubbles

mine was O2 as well. It seems that the way they change the play now icon and add their own settings casuses the themes not to function. O2 still don't sim lock their phones though  |

Yes, u`re right. I didnt realised that the Play now button has been changed for O2s own shortcut!
Damned! And I always loved O2 for the fact, that they never brand their handsets!!!

so , what your saying is w850i will only have flash themes if its debranded , say on tmobile contract ?

That is correct. Most times you can't see the flash effect of the themes if the phone is branded.
What i also wonna make clear here is, at the moment, we can't create our own flash themes yet. The images of the flash theme is stored inside the phone's firmware and the theme file contains the file that links to those images. For now its not that easy to safely create flash themes. SE will surly make it possible as soon as the figure out a safer way for us to create our own flash themes.
