My K750i has a rather odd fault. The joystick is inoperable in the left and down directions... yet works perfectly when playing games or in applications. When i exit to the main phone menus it refuses to work again in these directions... now thats weird. It makes me think it is a software fault but the phone has been flashed and reflashed as a K750i and also as a W800i... no improvement.
The 1,2 &3 keys no longer respond either, as well as one or two others. I swapped the keypad membrane and PCB with another K750i and that never helped at all so it is not these components. Another strange symptom is that the power button switches the phone on... but not off.
What the heck is going on here folks? i know i'm not the only one with this problem but nobody seems any wiser about the cause, any info or advice welcomed, so long as it's not... "take it to your local Sony centre"
