Welcome to esato!

Very nice review.

You can mainly buy Vertu's from VERTU stores and selected jewelers, the list of stores is available at www.vertu.com

click on \"STORES\" on the top right and then select your country and city....that will show you a list of Vertu retailers in your area. [addsig]

For anyone out there that is interested in the Vertu Constellation here are a few pics and a brief review.

Firstly the packaging which really does deserve a mention. The box is quite large when compared to say the box for other phones. Inside the larger outer box the phone itself comes in a watch like box which looks very nice indeed. Below that lies the manual, charger, key to release battery cover and software. The charger is actually just a normal Nokia charger and ships with an adapter that just plugs into the end.

First impressions are that the phone is much lighter then the Ascent and a lot thinner. Height wise there is nothing in it. The phone is made from what I think is high quality steel and it feels very nice in the palm of your hand. One disappointment is the quality of the leather. I say leather because I am not sure is stretched so tight and thin is could be some sort of copy. At least on the Ascent you were sure its leather.

Software wise it’s a big improvement on the Ascent. You now get the ability to choose your own ring tone (Supports MP3) and so I am told you can create your own themes. One very interesting inclusion is a cut down version of World Mate that’s preinstalled. You get clocks for three countries, weather in your city of choose, flight status reports, World map with daylight and nigh time and a currency converter.

Keyboard wise we now see a four way rocker switch with a centre confirmation button. Now the rockers switch works very well even though it’s quite small but I can see problems with the centre button. Its very shiny and curve on top so if you try and press it quickly your finger tends to slid off and hit one part of the rocker switch. Its not a big problem but the OK button really needs a rough surface or something for your finger to grip to.

The keys themselves have a nice feel and when pressed feel reassuringly solid unlike say the Nokia 8800 which are very bouncy.

I know there has always been a big debate on the worth of such phones that have a very limited feature set. I think of it like an expensive watch that just tells the time yes you can get watches that do a lot more but sometimes all you need is the time. I still have a K800 for when I need a feature loaded phone but for just making calls the Vertu is hard to beat.

I actually think this model looks nicer, the Ascent does look slightly big now compared to this. It is available in Selfridges in London now if anyone is interested.
