p990 crashes when attempting to use camera! |

Hi guys. I"m really frustrated by this. I updated my firmware to r7a001 last week. Phone was fine all the way till yesterday. I last used my camera as a business card scanner 'showing off' to my friend how it works on sunday. yesterday (tuesday), the entire phone crashes into a white screen when i try to use the camera. this happens both when i slide to uncap the lens as well as when i open the camera app. Once it crashes, the only way to get it to work again is taking the battery off... help help help!! this is frustrating.
I don't think it's a bug since i've used the camera after updating to r7.
Has anyone experienced this too?
Any suggestions on what to do?

next time when similar crash happens, press & hold the power switch. It will force switch off the phone and allow you to restart it, without the need of taking out & putting back the battery |

ditto, however i dont get a white screen. If i open the lens cover or try access the camera through the menu, the phone will just freeze and i cannot power down without removing the battery. Going to give this a few more days and send back if not |

Have exact the same problem, but camera didn't work att all after upgrade. It worked ok before. |

same problem here too.... but it works most of the time....
problem arises when i try to record videos in the best format into the memory card.... it hangs and it causes breaks in the videos...
but if i use the internal memory as the preferred one video recording works fine but it takes time to load....

the best thing is to wait for another firmware
