My HBH-30 is almost a week old and I was happy for a few days when these problems started to appear:

- crackling noise when answering calls via the headset even
when it is near the phone (not a distance or obstruction/
interference problem)

- frequent lost bluetooth connection

- could not pair after resetting headset

I live in the Philippines and I couldn't find any Sony Ericsson service center that supports the headset. I haven't tried calling Sony Ericsson Helpdesk yet. My phone is a modified T68m with firmware R2E006.

Update: (10/29/2002) The connection was lost again and I had to pair it again with the phone but now the phone can't "see" the headset. Something is terribly wrong with this unit.

I think it is time you update the firmware and the phone if you can. T68i is already at R5D007 in Asia and I have had a little problem with HBH-30 when it was R5C, not anymore with R5D Firmware update.

hope you solve the problems soon. God bless.

I thought so. I just e-mailed the Sony Ericsson service center here in the Philippines. A quick update: I updated the firmware to R5D007 but the problem still persists. The BT connection would only work for a few minutes (not consistent).
