 | I have searched through the forums, but can find nothing that solves my problem ...
I have been using a SE P910i with my MacBook Pro (MBP) sucessfully, using BT & vodafone (UK). But I can't get my new (vodafone branded) K800i to do the same thing, despite using the same SIM card. I know that 3G/GPRS works on the handset, and I know that the laptop and the K800i can talk to each other through BT, but the K800i will not act as a modem for the MBP.

I have spent hours talking to vodafone data support team (who blame Sony Ericsson), Sony Ericsson (who blame vodafone), and CarPhoneWarehouse (who didn't know who to blame, but it wasn't their fault!), all without sucess ...

Would I be any better off with a P990i, or is this going to give me the same problems?

 Any suggestions?

 | To follow up on this - I have now been able to sort the problem out
By using a script called "Sony Ericsson GPRS CID5", it all works!

 Superb!

 | Glad you sorted it! Perhaps you could list the steps you took, settings you used for the benefit of others. I'll also add it to my site below.
 Cheers!
