 | quickshare - So it means that your service provider charges gprs based on time consumed online? If so, yeah, you drilled a hole in your pocket... But if they charge based on kilobytes downloaded/ uploaded, you didn't spend anything while you were sleeping, unless the site you were on is auto-refreshing. |

 | When using GPRS u connected all the time, "always on", as they say. Which means, that even u r always connected if u don"t traffic data, u're not paying a dime. so when u were asleep, u didn't actually browsing so no extra money will be on ur bill. If u have a wap acount with dial-up, THEN and ONLY then u r paying based oon ur amount of time spent online So, don't worry, when u fell asleep u stoped trafficking data which means u wont pay extra. I am sorry so many ppl that post here couldn't tell u an usual thing like that. Research guys, research before u speak....

 | I do this all the time. I go to sleep daily with my gprs connected...
And yes @701 is right. Unless the page was reloading at regular intervals, which I presume did not happen, you need not be worried.

 | gprs/EDGE/3G charging depends on service provider policy. Here in the Philippines, the 2 main rival networks chose different policies. Smart Telecoms charges gprs/EDGE/3G on a time basis -- about 19 cents for the 1st 30 mins, & a proportionate amt for every minute thereafter. Their rival, Globe Telecom, charges gprs/EDGE/3G on a per-kb basis. As for CSD (dialup), no one i know uses it anymore. |

 | Here in the Netherlands it also depends, on which provider you're using. Vodafone charges the time you're browsing. The other providers : KPN (our largest provider, landline also), T-Mobile and Orange charge GPRS per kb. WAP-charges are always time-based, but almost nobody uses it anymore.
