I often use the wap 1.0 version of this crazy site. However, I find it annoying that having bookmarked my login page, when replying to a post I get have to back track and reenter my user name and password if I take more than 20 seconds or so. Can't we be logged in on the wap version permanently? It seems to log us out too soon...

I'm interested in why people are still using WAP?

I use mobile Esato for a couple of hours each day and I never get logged out. That includes on my TyTN, P990, M600, K800 etc etc

is WAP being used just because its cheap or free on some plans or some similar reason?

unfortunately I disagree.

mobile.esato.com works on just about any recent mobile from the last couple of years in my experience (and I've tried quite a few phones!)

I have almost never used wap here myself though I could understand its use in the early days of T68/T610 etc

I do still see the "this was posted from ...." message from time to time so I'm sure WAP is still in use here are so my comments don't really help the original problem except to perhaps suggest an alternative access method

i get it on my P990. tytn, jammin whatever i use..

mobile.esato.com logs me out after every time i look at my pms. i can never ever ever get to page 2 without deleting page 1 first.

but to do that i have to delete message. login, pms, delete, and the wgole process starts again..

i've given up looking as esato on my phone these days...

I've never had an issue on any windows mobile device and use my TyTN daily on the train in and out of London to manager the forums.

I must say that having also used the P990 and M600 while awaiting replacement TyTN, these are much more reliable phones on mobile esato than the P910 and predecessors were

. . . Have done this numerous times everytime I'm mobile or in transit . . . at times too . . . when I am lying on my bed thinking what's going on around here (even if I just logged-out some hours ago . . .), as I cannot bring my PC to bed . . . [addsig]

@ Massuer .. I use the wap version of Esato as at present I dont own a pc or laptop ( laptop was lost with everything else I had in Hurricane Katrina before I left america) and can only borrow laptop occasionally. But have good rate for unlimited data on 3g where i am now. Dont know others reasons for using wap. No probs though on z800i.

I use the wap 1.0 version most.

I also use Wap 2.0 and also Opera Mini when I want to view pics. I like the Wap 1.0 version because it gives you all the newest posts in order - from the whole forum - which to me is handy.

Its forever logging me out though.

Ah well, I guess I will just have to keep on re-entering my pw everytime I reply.
