Free Spanish English Dictionary |

I reciently made a Spanish English dictionary for my phone:
It will work on a Sony Ericsson K750 or equivilant (i.e. W550, W800, etc.)
Actually, it will probably work on any phone with midp 2.0, so long as it has enough memory.
You can download it here:

This is free software. Feel free to share!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but... How do you install and use this thing?
I copied the jad and jar files to my MS card and selected "install" in the file menu. After about 5 minutes or more everything just froze, the screen flashed black and white a few times and then it just returned to the menu. I couldn't find it anywhere (well it was still in the file menu).
What am I missing?
p.s. It did seem a little strange that the user registered and posted this on the same day so I hope they are still around. |

What model phone are you installing on? Did any error message appear? Do you have enough memory to install (you need about 7.5 mb)? |

Sorry for the delay...
I am installing it on a W810i (current firmware) with 22MB free space in the phone and a 2GB MSPro installed. I would like to have it installed on the card to free up the storage in the phone but I have never installed any Java apps on a phone before and don't know exactly how it's supposed to work.
yes, I have searched extensively and still am not certain.
Thanks! |

To install on the memory card you have to copy the jar file to \\mssemc\\media files\\other first, then install |

GREAT!! Thank you Elephant!
OK
- Typing is easy and fast. You can quickly see if the word you are looking for is there (in fact, always is there!).
- Each word description is usefull and complete.
- Colors are well chosen, and user interface is simple and elegant.
KO
- However, phonetic description is not standard.
- Some non-sense characters appear at the end or in the middle of description (like black squares).
It would be great if you could improve a little more appearance of translations and meanings.
Thanks for your job!!

Glad you like it!
Yeah, the phonetic guide is borked up, because it used special characters that weren't in the standard ascii. Nothing I can do about that. |
