Hi all,

I've searched for this and can't find a thread, so i'm wondering about having 2 sims and one number? I'm currently waiting for a p990 to arrive, but i imagine days i don't want to use it.. preferring my sexy W800, so rather than pulling my 2 phones apart each time i'd like 2 sims. Is this possible? I've heard that cloning of sim cards is possible. Can anyone shed any light on the subject, or perhaps point me to the thread/web page i should be reading?

many thanks Oz

ps am on O2 if this matters...

You could simply ask for another SIM card to your provider... [addsig]

Hi there.

It is possible and totally legal too!!!

Vodafone offer it and have been doing so for a long time. It suits the type of people who have 1 sim card for the phone in the car and the other for the phone in the pocket. Orange have recently started to offer it (June 2006) on their business tariffs only and are looking to role it out in the future across the network.

I am with O2 and they are planning to do it but cannot work it out at present. I have been asking them for 1 year and still nothing. If you want it go to Vodafone and you will get it. I hope this helps.

I have been bugging Swedish 3 about dual SIM on one contract, but they do not provide it. Other operator have done this for as long as I can remember, but obviously not (Swedish) 3.

Does 3 in other countries offer this option?

I would want it for using the same contract and phone number for my current "talk phone", K800i, and a future smart phone. Since I will probably use both phones for internet/data traffic, and my contract gives me a good price on this, it would be stupid to have to separate contracts and telephone numbers.
