Had the best idea ever, ever since my T68i i've upgraded through various other SE phones, and everytime I had to rebuild the 'my words' thing from scratch. I mean I had to enter the individual word otherwise predictive text wouldn't recognise it. My great idea is that wouldn't it be great if you could save your words onto the memory card etc? I mean you could back up contacts why not your list of words?

That would be kinda cool actually as when I go from phone to phone in the SE range I have to keep adding 'my words'.
This whole phenomena is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a government agenda. (+9, -0) |

Finaly someone has a idea that makes sens. I think a lot of people would benefit from a function like that.

It would promote the fact that if you upgrade that nothing would change, from like the K700i onwards the menu has always been 3 X 4 icons except for symbian OS of course. But for the average joe this would be great, no change

Yeah that is a really good idea. It really annoys me having to put it all in again. Sony ericsson need a suggestion box

Better yet, we should be able to save all our custom settings into one prefs file. That way we can transfer ring/SMS tone settings, alarms, words, GPRS settings, etc. We will then need to change only those that are not compatible.
resistance is futile. |

yup i've been thinking of writing SE as well about being able to BT your words to another phone.
the other thing i was thinking about was, aside from call forwarding, to be able to forward your SMS to another phone. i guess this is mainly for people with more than one phone, when you decide to leave the other one behind.
there used to be a 3rd party app for my P910 that could forward SMS but to have it built-in into the phone, and not just symbian phones, would be extremely valuable.
these two would be features that would really make SE phones stand out. well, more than they already do... |
