www.barryboys.co.uk - all the advice on how immensely awful some cars look and how not to modify a car, they have supersheds on there like the golden TVR from Carisma Autostyling!!
Worth a look

ok my advice ( i have no experience, this is just what i think)
do something like the first design, but leave off the giant spoilers, but shiny paint is good (but not too much)
DO NOT do something like the ford focus, i just looks like they have replaced the panels with plasitc and melted it together.
fast is good, but if its a roady not too fast (or limit it for road stuff)
but most important: pick a good car to start with, dont try sooping up a vauxhall corsa: not worth it... |

i think that focus looks well smart, not too much of a boy racer car but not standard either

@faultymonkey: if you already know that you don't have experience then why bother giving "advice"? Its like a new student trying to teach a class full of seniors, they don't belong in that place!
I admit that I'm not too fond of large spoilers, but if done correctly it can look pretty nice. I think the spoiler on the evo looks somewhat decent. At least it isnt one of those rice spoilers that arent carbon fibre (used heavy steel instead) and are only there for show (so it actually deproves drag co-efficient)
The hatchback looks kinda nice, its a matter of individual taste. I think it was going for the "clean" or "shaved" look, thats one form of customizing your car in case you didnt know.
Define "too fast". The amount of power a car makes is up to the owner, you have no right telling people to "limit" it because they might be able to handle cars at a speed higher than you can handle.
But I totally agree with you on the Vauxhall Corsa.

Sorry for the bad pic but it was taken on a T630. This was a very nicely modified Vauxhall Corsa with Lamborghini Doors, full body kit, colour coded interior, and some nice ICE.

@magpiemaster,
i hope you have quite a bit of money, that evo would have cost heaps. And here in Australia, jap car parts (best in my opinion) are fairly exspensive here.... |
