I've found three stereo handsfree remote controls that (should) work with the W810. If you have experience with any or all of these, please post it to this thread

1) Sony Ericsson HPM-82
http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp4_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp4_1&pid=10471
http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/sony_ericsson_hpm-82_earphones.html

Pros

  • OEM quality
  • OEM compatibility
  • appearance/finish matches phone

Cons

  • two-part design; could be too heavy/floppy for gym use
  • poor clip design and location - identical to the HPM-70, which causes the mic to hang awkwardly and the wiring to bend 180°
  • can't find a US seller that has these in stock (yet?)

2) iDNA MRH-200
http://www.i4u.com/article5415.html
http://mobile.brando.com.hk/MusicRemoteHandsfreeMRH200.php

Pros

  • one-piece unit
  • clip located on unit, not wire
  • new model has appearance/finish that matches phone

Cons

  • not OEM - may have compatibility/usability problems
  • costs as much as HPM-82
  • clip looks very cheap (just a non-moving chunk of bent plastic)

3) Touch SRC-100
http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/touch_musician_src_100_-_remote_control_for_sony_ericsson_k750i_and_w800i.html
http://mobile.brando.com.hk/MusicianSRC100.php

Pros

  • one-piece unit
  • clip located on unit, not wire

Cons

  • not OEM - may have compatibility/usability problems
  • appearance/finish does not match phone (no black+orange)
  • apparently discontinued or sold out?
  • clip looks very cheap (just a non-moving chunk of bent plastic)

I apologize if this is something of a repost. I found precious little via the Search function, unfortunately

You might find MRH-200 a lot cheaper from eBay.

I may have to get that one, as the unit is suddenly no longer compatible with my phone
