firstly, apologies if this has been asked or answered, I've done a search for +k800i +message
and searched the results for ages but not found an answer, although I have noticed that some people are using something other than the standard tones that come with the phone.

What I'm wanting to know is: is there a way to add more tones to the K800i to use when you receive a text. The ones that come on the phone are to short/girly/quiet
is there a way to add another, I'd prefer it to use an mp3 (that's what I'm used to with my nokia's I've had until this one)

cheers for any advice or help

Goto the area where u change the message tone. Sroll to the bottom, you will see the tone 'cosmic' (well u should cause its default). You will then notice the right softkey saying 'replace', press it. You can then proceed to add any sound u want as ur message tone, but i think it only plays the first 10 or so seconds.

just upload the desired mp3 into your K800i, go to the File Manager and look for the mp3 file; once you've done so select "Use as" and choose message tone.

...now that wasnt too hard, was it?
