Would you be able to help or advise me on this problem?
I've had a strange problem with my W800i recently. At completely random times the screen would start flickering, with hundreds of horizontal scan lines appearing. If the backlight is on at the time, it comes on very brightly, enough to wash out some of the displayed colours.
Other than being very annoying and draining my battery more quickly than is usual, it has had no effect on the phone's function - I can still make calls and send messages (the latter is sometimes difficult when the washout occurs). Shaking the phone hard or rapping it temporarily restores the screen to normal behaviour. As mentioned before, this flickering comes up at random times, but over the past few days has become more and more frequent; sometimes for a few hours the screen behaves normally.
I am not sure about sending it back to SE, as I have unlocked and debranded the phone to use in Malaysia (I bought it in UK). |
