Stiffness in handsfree HPM-70 |

Hello!
I bought a W800 in August last year and I got the first revision of HPM-70 stereo handsfree (the one with a rubber hoop around the neck) bundled with it.
After about 7 months, the handsfree cable became rather stiff, just like steel wire! Formable. Such a stiffness made the cable to almost broke at the ends of the rubber hoop! (I could see the copper inside). I mentioned this for SonyEricsson and I got a new one for free. This time I got the HPM-70, second edition, without the rubber hoop.
Now, this new handsfree is as stiff as the former one. Again just like steel wire. And again, I know that this stiffness will sooner or later cause the cable to break once again.
I called SonyEricsson and according to the woman I talked to, she haven't ever heard of any cable problems like this at all!
My friend also own a W800 and experiences the same problem.
I wonder if anyone out there have experienced the same problem as described?
Does anyone have any recommendations for me to do with my handsfree to get it smooth and fine again? (I don't want to spend money on new handsfrees every 6 months.)
Thanks in advance!

Any pictures? You mean the cord?
-My headphone that came with my Sony Ericsson, also became stiff. It gets annoying when I wear it around my head and go jogging.
Wow?! A new stereo headset for free? Interesting. Did you call them or sent them an e-mail? Or did you have warranty? I would also like to have a free one becuase my stereo headset broke, and they are too expensive to replace.
