i used to have a siemens phone, and occasionally i would get a message that popped up (and scrolled on-screen), when it was sent from a particular person's phone. I was wondering if our T68's can send these kind of messages.
Also, regarding 'Request Reply' i tried to send an SMS to my own number with request reply set as on, but when it arrived, it did not ask me for a reply. What exactly is this function?
Thanks in advance! |

Not exactly like that, but it's a useful site nonetheless. Its cool being able to send text messagesx for free, even when they can be directly replied to my phone!
On a separate note, does anyone here (from the UK) remember the good old days of sms, when it was possible to have news and sports alerts sent to our phones for FREE. Is there any alternatives these days, that are also free!? I'm talking about things like O2 Alerts...
Any response on the subject would be greatly appreciated! |

sms that arrive directly on screen are class 0
class 1 save directly to sim and class 2 go to phone memory ther are further classes etc etc
as far as i kno theres no inbuilt function to change this on t68i so u wud need to know the gsm class activation code (dunno wat its actually called but thats wat it is)
nebody got these 2 hand ???

reply request stops people replying to a text you have sent them - I think only voda & O2 support this. SO try again - turn reply request to off - then text ursefl & try to reply via that message - it won't let u

Opps... Sorry...
Request reply is used when u want someone 2 reply 2 your sms. The person whe sends the pop will have to pay 4 the original sms and the reply too... Hope that helps...

no way! I thought it was just like when people say 'text back' at the end of messages, one can use this instead to produce a popup.
I've been requesting replies from most of my texts. Are you saying that I have to pay for any returned messages when I have requested them?!
Which handsets support this feature, other than Ericsson? |
