Hi there, off to the US next week, plan to use my T68 to be in contact with the villa we are staying at.
I have a few questions though.
I live in the UK and am on the Orange network.
After a quick look on the Orange website it says I'm gonna have to change my phone to GSM 1900 for it to work over there. I just had a quick look through my menus and cannot see the option to change anywhere, manual is no help either, any idea?
Second question, any idea what sort of call charges will be incuurred for making internal calls to USA landlines?
I dont plan to phone home with it as that looks like its gonna cost over a £1 /min to do so. Also dont plan to recieve any calls from UK with it. 55p EEK.
Just want to make a few internal calls.
I've just not been able to find info on these prices so any help would be appreciated.
Cheers for any help

the phone change network by itself.... when it detects there is only the 1900MHz band available it will tune into that... |

it is automatic switching, don't worry just get there and turn it on.. you should be all set, however your orange sim won't work there, thus you will probably need prepaid service from t-mobile with a new sim...

btw, i am not sure about this sim issue, but whenever i try using my russian mts sim wich is 900/1800 it does not work, but i live in us and i have the t-mobile account, so whenever i go back home, upon arrival i put in my mts sim and use it in russia, when i am back to us, switch the sim again and there you go....
So just go to the t-mobile store and get the prepaid card, for as low as 20 bucks.. and then you can make internal cost and it will be way less than a buck a minute, most likely 20 cents or even less than that..

if your sim will work in another country depends on if your operator has any roaming deals with the operators in the country you are going to. Check your network operator's webpage for info about international coverage.
