Free Mobile IMPS Messaging Service? |

It seems that SmartVAS has died; does anyone knwo what's going on with SmartVAS? The website has died too.
Aside from Yamigo, does anyone know of any other free IMPS services that will work with the 'My Friends' application? It was a pity that SmartVAS only supported TCP/IP CIR as the K800i (and other SE phones I believe) only support WAP CIR which means that the phone has to keep polling the server for new messages rather than them being delivered in realtime. |

Are we saying that nobody knows anything about this? Nobody has a single clue what's happened to SmartVAS? |

This has just pissed me off big time. SmartVAS goes down, the site goes down, nothing. How unprofessional.
It did support CIR, I used to receive my messages real time. There are a couple of other ImPS providers but not many as good as Smartvas.
Ill have to do a godd search.
Does anyone know if Yamigo still works?

I'd heard that the W900i supported TCP/IP CIR, but apparently other SE phones don't. My K750i had to poll the server for messages. I never got to try my K800i as SmartVAS stopped working before I bought it.
However, the other SE phones apparently support WAP CIR and not TCP/IP CIR unless someone on here has used the K800i with SmartVAS and can tell me otherwise? |

I've tried Mig33 but this is only a Java based app? The problem I had with Mig44 was that the activation code I was sent started with a Zero; the handset won't allow me to enter the zero for some reason. As soon as I enter another digit, it replaces the zero; quite bizarre!
I'd prefer a service that works with the built-in 'my friends' IM client. |
