 | Hi all, hoping you can help. For the past few months i've been using my Orange PAYG SE K700i to connect to my laptop Win2000 via Bluetooth (Belkin) to create an internet connection. All has been well, I use the £1 a day for unlimited access which is good cos I only use it to check email, forums etc... Anyway last week it went down and me not knowing that it was Orange started playing around with settings on my Internet Explorer 6 (I did the same on my phone but rectified them), now the internets back up i've decided to finally do the internet, yay! But, when I try to go onto the net it says "Page Not Found" and then when I try to go onto another page I get "Internet Explorer could not open search site". When I dial up it says it's connected and I get the thing in the corner saying i'm connected but I just can't open any pages.
Anyone that can help? I've reinstalled my Belkin Bluetooth and done the Wizard Connection thingy again but still nothing.
Could it be the internet settings? the bluetooth? my phone? orange?

 | I have exactly the same problem connecting to the net from my pc via my k700. It dials up and says I'm connected, but i can't access any pages.
I've gone through so many possibilities, but can't seem to figure it out.

I can connect using a w800 on the same config so it must be the phone.

Could be the modem initialization script. If you have the incorrect script to tell the modem how to act, it will not connect properly. Also make sure your ISP did not move the IP and DNS addresses.

 | I also face same problem some times, and the culprit i found was the apn setting in the connection setting gets cleared of automatically. When i give the apn and try again it works just fine. BTW, i am using k750i and while creating internet account I select "pakage switched connection" and not "dial up" connection and that works perfect for me.

 | I created the connection using Networking Wizard. There is link in the PC suit application. The wizard displays two options Dial Up and Pacakage switched.
My operator is Idea (India - Maharashtra). The APN I use is "internet" and userid, password both is internet (to be set only in computer not handset).
In handset UserID and Password should be blank.

 | I got mine working. External ID in your data profile should be the number at the end of your dial up number.
 ie: *99*3#

Where 3 is the externa ID.

 | @Siosal : Even *99# works for connection. I have noticed that while creating accounts using mobile connection wizard it will append it with *2..*3...*4 etc.
e.g. if you create two accounts using mobile conn. wiz. then both accounts will contain numbers as *99*1# and *99*2# respectively.
I have tried using all the combinations and all combinations work for me.
