Well the http://www.p800.it was updated today check out the picture section for some new pics and also the news section have some interesting news here they are (translated by altavista.com...is not perfect but...)
25/10/2002 To Smau finally it has been able to see and to touch, the P800. So according this the P800 maybe is gonna be available to Italy firsts days of December.
But I thin 890 euro is too muck for the P800... |

SE are just shooting themselves in the foot if they release it for 890.i mean first the delay then they try rip us off!they have got to be more competitive with their pricing

890? that is definately overpricing, but in the us i guess it will even be more... so there is another reason, i wont buy it...

EUR 890 is not totally outrageous for a device that embodies all those functionalites (and more.) It is too much for me though. =( |

if i was going to buy it, i would not get it there anyway, but for the comparison sake, i can get s100 for like 400-450 us, compared to the price on expansys, that should be sufficient enough not to buy anything from them.... all they got is an overpriced inventory...imo

SCs here are saying it'll be around 750$ which is equal to 750 euros. Hope they don't change their mind later!! |

I have been saying this the whole time the P800 is way way way too much money. 750.00 is retarded. I will wait and get the PVC smartphone from MS and pay like 300 for it here when it comes out in the US first quater 2003. It has all the features the P800 has cept for BT and touch screen. But for 1/3 the price and for a kick ass 65k color screen i can most certainly live with that. Not to mention it runs MS OS and everyone and their mother develops for MS os's. Not saying Symbiam is bad just I rather have MS OS on my smartphone since its what we all use every day and can sync up perfectly with PC programs like outlook etc. I have said it all along SE is gonna shoot themselves in the foot by pricing it that way, they are limiting themselves to a very very select market with that price. I make good money and still I wont pay 750 for that. hell no.

The price described ( 890 Euro ) was furnished by the employees SonyEricsson to whoever it made request.The truth is that in Italy it depends on the providers (Tim,OV and Wind): only the vertexes of SE they have an relatively conceives precise on the cost of SEOne.Any other.
First days of November we will personally meet the vertexes of SonyEricsson to have precise news.

The fact that MS makes it makes no difference. You won't be able to install word on it if that's what you think. Its only commonality is that it *looks* like windows. It does not have win32 libraries and binary support.
Microsoft will have the same problems with making outlook sync with it as other phone-makers have trying to sync their devices to outlook.
Btw, if you are serious about things, stop using outlook =)
