Humans have, over the ages, discovered and invented new technologies which would make his livelyhood easier. But with every breakthrough he's made, he's becoming and more reliant of his creation. Now he's no more the master, but a slave to his own creation. We're are so much reliant on TECHNOLOGY and MACHINERY that we can't do a single day without them.. Take the case of the TAFFIC LIGHTS, a very simple day-to-day piece of machinery. Have you ever pondered onto how those 3 lights control a million people a day. And when it shuts off accidentally, there is chaos. Humans can't organize and execute things the right way. So he has to give in to TECHNOLOGY, no matter how simple or small...BOTTOMLINE : HUMANS ARE A SLAVE FOR TECHNOLOGY.

Technnology also enables and improves things - so its a double edged sword.

Yes there are too many cars on the road and too much pollution but technology also enables you to see and talk to your friends and family in another country.

Something undreamed of a hundred years ago.

One of the best things invented is the IR remote control. Whatever did we do before that come along - sit there and watch the same crap tv channel all day because you were too lazy to get up off your big fat arse and turn over.

What i meant to say is that we are "MORE THAN" reliant on technology. We expect technology to do everything for us, even the pettiest things. The day won't be far when the breathing that we do every second would be controlled by gadgets and our wives would be impregnated by 'intelligent' robots...there's no doubt that we need TECHNOLOGY to 'assist' us with certain 'odd' jobs that are far more complicated for us to undertake...but not necessarily make them our only resort...

Well we are going to have to rely on technology to get us out of the pickle we are in at the moment.

Since the industrial revolution we have been pumping out the waste products, from burning fossil fuels, into the atmosphere, affecting the climate and causing the earth to heat up.

Before we make planet earth uninhabitable - unless we live underground where its cool - we need to use technology to find a clean alternative to petroleum products and to harness renewable energy sources - otherwise there will be deckchairs in Alaska.
