i have just got my k800i and i cant get rid of the globe icon in the top of the screen or the grey box next to it. it first came on when i was on the internet. i had a look at the instructions and it said i would be disconnected from the internet as soon as i exit the browser, but the data counter reads something like 55,63,12. can someone please?? |

@si egdell go to Menu>Settings>Connectivity and look for Internet Profiles or Data accounts (don't quite remeber how are they called) anyway it should be in the lower part of the Connectivity Tab.Try each option and you will find in one "Disconnect",just click that and it's over.
as for the grey box,can you be more specific where it is? If i was to guess then it is either the GPRS coverage indicator or the 3g coverage indicator.
cheers

AFAIK until the globe stays there you are connected to the internet.
check to see if you don't have any open apps (java apps) that use internet
did you try restarting the phone?

yea twice, it just wont go, do you think its because she is on the '3' network, as that planet three is always there on the main screen? |

@si egdell i think this one you have to do it personally:D ,or maybe she can do it .Just try and create another Data Communication account which has wrong settings, and then in Internet Settings>Internet Profiles, try to select the wrong made account. This would mean that the phone won't connect to the internet
