Hi

Playing around with my Nokia 7210 I have found no way to add a voice-message to a MMS.

If I try to send a MMS containing a audio-clip (amr) from my t68 to my 7210 the amr-file cannot be played..

am I doing something wrong or has Nokia actually made a MMS-capable phone without audio-support?!?!

Maybe they should call it SMS again - Singlemedia Messaging Service

My firmware-version is:

v. 3.09
02-10-02

so I would guess it's only 23 days old...

I think SE has got the better idea when it comes to which audio to support though... if you consider MMS meaning Multimedia Messaging Service, .midi isn't really very good for Messaging between people in an effective way

Although I'm pretty confident that my 7210 will be able to recieve polyphonic ringtones (.midi) through MMS (haven't tried yet though) I have found no way to add a polyphonic ringtone to an MMS either....

This one is from NOKIA 7210 instructions:

" MMS supports the next file formats:
- Pictures: JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP.
- Sounds: Scalable Polyphonic MIDI (SP-MIDI) and monotones (RGN).

If received message have parts that phone doesn't support, at their place will be the name of received file and message: "Phone doesn't support this object" " (this is translated from finnish!)

As far as I saw, it was not possible to add ringtones to an MMS in the 7210...tried with the ones delivered with the phone and no go....

Also, they are only 2 pages?

Good display, but the implementation of the rest of the stuff? Time to tie the knot if you ask me...
