Hello All .

I'm in search of a bit of expert advice on a fairly jarring ERROR message i am
getting when starting up my brand new phone .

Literally right out the box . I let the phone charge for a few hours .
popped in my sim and went to set up the language . after the initial
set up it brings up an ERROR :

MEMORY CORRUPT D: / and it asks me if i wish to continue .

I can't seem to find any info on that /
I went ahead and updated to the latest firmware via
the SE UPDATE SERVICES APP .

even after the update and flashing it still gives me that error /

I'm very concerned here . I know that usually Updates fix problems like this
but here that's unfortunately not the case .

/ / / / / / /

ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS ?

ALSO WOULD IT HELP TO DO A MASTER RESET / HOW IS THAT DONE ?

/ / / / / / / /

thanks to everyone in advance .

best,

lex

@Prae

Do you bother to read the manual? Every question you have asked has been in the book. The corrupt memory error is pretty easy. Format the card. Master resets, turning on and off 3G is covered in the book.

N82(YES), iPhone 3G, Shure es530, Nikon D300, more stuff. No more SE stuff, why am I still here?

I just had this problem, and came across this thread. Since formatting seemed to be the way, I wanted to try to move the files from my memory card to my phone so I wouldn't lose them, but it couldn't find the card. I flipped open the side and popped the memory card out then back in. The phone detected it, and I could see the files on it.

(The phone was obviously detecting something, as it was using pictures and rintones stored on the mem stick.)

Anyway, after this, I turned the phone off then back on again, and the error was gone, no format needed.

I originally gt the error after turning off the phone in the middle of a shot in the golf game, to stop myself being caught playing it at work. After I turned te phone back on, it said the memory was corrupt.

I also faced this issue immediately after completion of taking full backup. Looks like SE snapping link with M2 card some times Card pop-out & pop-in worked for me. Cheers!
