Hi,
I'm new here. Planning to buy a K750i. Read this from SE Phil site (http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=ph&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp1_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10242):
Note:
From mid-May and onwards, K750 manufacturing is gradually changed as follows:
New PC Suite version with improved user interface and faster synchronization
A new version of the 2 megapixel camera, with the following zoom capacity:
1.0 = 1632 x 1224
2.5 = 640 x 480
4.0 = 160 x 120
I was wondering what the 'improved user interface' is? Does it mean it has been updated to w550i above? Also want to know if by updating the firmware, the UI is also updated.
Thanks,
Paul |

but wait a second,if you have 1.0 at 2 mp then that is involving not evolving, AFAIK the older K750 had 4x zoom at 2mp

I think the zoom has changed from 'precision' zoom to 'smart' zoom. A feature in Sony digicams.
Digital zoom degrades quality. 'Smart' zoom minimizes that. And it seems to be effective, at least from what I read. The trade off is that you can only get more zoom the lower resolution. |

so we have to wait for someone who has a newly k750 and post a picture with the "smart" zoom.
