the title speaks for itself... I have made an adaptor for my fastport on my k750, to a old SE charge plug, so i can charge it. I don't really want to purchase it and find out that it doesnt work though. Has anyone got a car-100 that they can try out with paring and using with a not officially supported phone (k750, preferably...)? thanks alot for your help people, sorry if someone has already asked this question... i did do a search but didnt find anything. |

it works, but it doesn't lock out the menu, so when you press up down left right and stop start (using the joystick) it operates the menu as well!! So you can end up deleting shit or causing havoc because you watching the car and not what you are doing to the menu!
The solution is easy, make a blank playlist, go into it, then you can press left right up down and start stop without leaving the "safety" of the blank playlist.
This doesn't work with W800, since you can leave a blank playlist by using the left joystick, then you have the menu problems.
On a K700 or earlier the menu is locked when the Car-100 is connected via BT, and the joystick only works on Car-100 functions.

The ideal solution is to lock the keypad first and then control the CAR-100 while the keypad is locked. The keypad still registers button inputs despite being locked. This prevents accidentally "deleting shit or causing havoc." |

By the way, how is your fastport adaptor working out? Was it a difficult project? Do you have any pictures? |
