Hi,
A friend of mine has recenly had to have had her dog put down. She has a few videos on her 'Sony Ericsson K700i' and we wondered if these files can be transferred to a computer to be put onto CD or anything to keep safe?
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Rotheram.

Files can be transfered to the PC thru cable or IR and can be watched with a program called Media Player Classic (Note: Not the windows media player) |

S4k1s,
Thanks. Plese forgive me, I am NOT technical. When you say cable or IR, exactly what do you mean? What is IR and is their a psecific cable you need? If you can give me a link or soemthing it would be GREATLY appreciated.
And if anyone else could offer advise it would also be GREATLY appreciated.

IR means Infra Red you can use it to transfer any data from PC to mobile or other way
or if U have BlueTooth adapter it will be faster
when U install IR or BT on pc goes this:
find that new icon on your desktop and right click - accept file
then on your mobile choose that file and go: more - send - via IR/BT
and that is it.............. |

@Rotheram: IR = Infra Red, most laptops have it. You can use it to send files from the phone to the laptop and vice versa.
On the k700 u have the port on the top of the phone and to transfer files it must be facing the port on the laptop.
Looks like this:
If your computer have BlueTooth then you can use that to transfer the files.
BlueTooth is faster than IR and the phone/computer don't have to be facing each other for it to work.
You just have to activate the BlueTooth on the computer and on the phone and do a search with the phone, it will then find the computer and you will be able to send the files that you want.
The third way is using a cable to connect the phone with the computer.
The cable that u need for that is the Sony Ericsson DCU-11 datacable.
Looks like this:
This cable will connect your phone to your computers USB port. I'd guess this is the easies way to transfer files from the K700 to a computer.
The phone will show up in the windows explorer and you will be able to drag and drop the files as usual.
