O.K. I have read many different things on here about this subject. Did we ever come to a conclusion? I have an unlimited minute plan but the GRPS is 3 cents a K. Which is outrageous. I have talked to AT&T and they say that it cannot be done (using the phone as a dialup modem) he said the reason is that the network here in the US does not have "circuit switched data". I have tried to make a call and it just will not work. I do not know if there are setting's on the phone or the computer that need to be made, or if in fact it just cannot be done. In which case I will be stuck paying 3 cents a K. Any information anyone might have that will tell me for sure one way or the other will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

hey.. im in the same situation.... im on at&t and am also trying to get my phone to dialup. i have t68i and tryin to get it to dialup through a bluetooth connection.

i also talked to an at&t tech rep last nite. he said that currently, it is not possible (yet) but could become possible at any time and to just be on the look out.

he also mentioned that he had information that people on other providers with CSD, that come on AT&T's network are still able to dialup.

In any case, his basic advice was to just keep my eye out and look on the web and newsgroups to see if anyone has figured it out. He said he does the same and usually finds out on the web before any kind of memo is sent around at work.

anyways.. if you figure it out.. let me know! i'll do the same.
