Solution for battery power: bring another battery
This is a portable battery pack which is available in Japan. It can charge another mobile device when needed, or just use it to power the device directly. The retail package provides 4 different device connector, including USB connection. The battery pack has also a built in charger to charge it self when connected to AC power. A status LED on the battery pack will let you know the battery level in the battery pack. The company claim to provide an extra of 3 hours talk time in one full charge, depending on the phone model. It is sold at about 25 USD
