Yes there is a competition.
I tried out the W300 when I was in greece, a friend had it. It's a much nicer phone than I first thought.
W300 pros: EDGE, M2 and latest walkman player.
cons: camera!
So it's really a matter of what he wants |

k750i + w800 flash= better than w300. 2 megs is 2 megs. |

The only reason why your mate would want to get the W300 would be for the  part. Otherwise everything is better on the K750. Easy choice.
