Hi

I am thinking of upgrading my Nokia 6230 to Sony Ericsson K800i.

I currently have a fully fitted Nokia car kit for the 6230.

Does anybody know whether it is possible to hack about with the wiring on the Nokia car kit in order to convert it to the SE K800i. Basically a car kit is only really a 12v feed, microphone and speaker. Can I buy a K800i cradle and connect this in place of my existing Nokia cradle?

Any help / tips would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Depends what kit you have, if it the CARK-126 then you will have to replace it with a SE HCA-60 kit & HCH-66 cradle, or a bluetooth kit. If it is the CK-7W then you could just use as a bluetooth kit without the cradle (if you have one) although reliability of the connection and audio quality may be a little dubious.

But, It is aleged that Nokia are going to release cradles which link to the CK-7 and allow phones from other manafactures' to be used. So if you have this kit and dont want to use bluetooth keep an eye on their www.
