Sony recently released pics of the 60GB and the 20GB versions of the PS3.
These pics tell you the difference between the 2.

The one with the silver coating is the 60GB version and the plain-black one is the 20GB version.

The pic below shows that the 60GB version will also have an HDMI OUT port while the 20GB will not.

What can you do with the "HDMI out port" though?

HDMI is for HD output, but an AV cable can output al the way up to 1080i, HDMI can produde the amazing 1080p!!! Although, in the UK you don't get much choice, its the 60Gb or nothing, but I was going for that anyway!

Cheers

Yes.. for a US$100 less your missing ALOT from the higher spec version..

No HDMI output (Not True HD)
Only 20GB HDD (Upgradable)
No Wifi, multi card reader
(Able to upgrade with 3r party products using USB ports)

So with that.. its better to get the higher spec version to get all this features, for an additional US$100 (everything built-in, with a 60GB HDD)

I'm just loving the thought of the day when I can unpack and have a fiddle with my nice new 60GB PS3 using my nice new HD plasma tv!

And of course they look so damn cool!

It is written on the ps3 specs page that a memory stick,SD card,or compact flash will be sold seperately so there must be a card slot hidden somewhere.

The Inquirer reports that the PS3 specs has changed once again, this time in the video department. Its NVidia RSX GPU has been downgraded from 550/700 core/memory to 500/650. No word as to why this change is taking place, but it marks yet another last minute revision the PS3’s quickly approaching release. I wonder what will be next to go.
