connectivity, data comm, preferred service, gsm only.

however doesn't this mean internet will not use GPRS? IE: a timed wap connection over gsm only?

Cool I'm not sure if I've noticed a drain, but then I always have it on so I wouldn't notice anyway

Under "gsm only" setting, internet will still use gprs, if the data account is properly set up as a gprs account.

The difference between the two settings has to do with signal monitoring: "Gprs and gsm" allows you to monitor at all times whether there is gprs signal in the area, via the blue triangle. Under "gsm only", you only find out whether there's gprs or not after connection has failed.

I haven't noticed any savings in battery life between the two settings, so i use "gprs and gsm."
