I have recently purchased a Sony Ericsson K310i Mobile Phone on the o2 Network after having read up on the phone on the SE Website.
The website clearly states that the phone not only is compatible with MP3 for tones but also AAC (like the SE Z530i) for tones.
I have an SE Z530i which I have bluetoothed AAC tones into and they work great and save loads of space on the phone (and would also on the memory card when i get one) but when i infrared the AAC tones in from this phone to the K310i they go into a folder called other and have a blue diamond by them implying unsupported format.
Does anyone else have the K310i or a variant of it either on the o2 Network or sim free ie open to all networks and not locked to a specific one?
Do you have the same problem AAC not working.
Please advise as SE when you ring them says that it definitely supports AAC.
I returned the first handset to The Link in Walsall where i purchsed it from and purchased a replacement handset from the o2 shop with the same result.
The phone itself is great value for money (cost me £59.99 including £10 of airtime) and im not nocking it, its just clarifying the situation does the phone have AAC compatibility and if so why does the o2 version not play or recognize them.
Im using an Apple Imac with itunes 6 (i dont believe its a DRM problem as the same file works fine in my Z530i and also in a friends K750i).
All help is most welcome).
