Do any of the theme creators automatically adjust themes for the handset you choose?
Heres what I mean, I have a really good theme for my K800i but would like to send it to someone who has a K610i and still look the same. |

K610 has a 176 x 220 display
K800 has a 240 x 320 display
This means that the themes won't transfer from phone to phone.
The maker of the theme would have to go back to the original images used in the K800 theme and start from scratch.
Theme creating software doesn't morph a K800 theme into a K610 theme unfortunately.

Cheers, i'll have to resize the pictures used then. Would be good if theme creator programmes could do this though. |

An automatic scaling of images with this kind of resolution will often result in not very good results. Downsizing is easier than upsizing for a good result and it can either be done by cropping the bigger image or scaling it. If you scale a small image to a larger size, the result will be an unsharp and cloggy picture. With the right type of image processing software, the picture may be fixed a little, but when using photograps in a theme, it's always good to start with a high-res image which is cropped and scaled down to the dimensions required by the phone.
What should be available in a decent themes creation program, however, is an export button for images. |
