Good day to you all.

I'd be extremely grateful if somebody could assist me with the following :

Whilst typing an sms with T9 input, one cannot 'quickly' write an abbreviated word such as : they're, we're, I'll, we'll, basically anything containing a '. One has to type the first half..eg: 'they', press #, then scroll down to ', then type the second half, being 're'..this being quite a task, as the 'half words' often don't make sense, and you end up having to scroll through a long list for those too.

Now, with my old Nokia 6210, all I had to do was : they(press 1)re ..and you had the word, complete with ' (they're).

Is this possible with t68i? I've tried many different combinations, to absolutely no avail. No short method, nothing.

If somebody knows how to do this, I'll be ultra happy.

Thanks for your help.

to type "they're" in T9, just type they.re and the period will change to an apostrophe. You can also switch from T9 to multitap and back by holding down the * key.

Enjoy!

Hi, thanks for your quick reply..

Unfortunately that does not work.

My current settings : English T9 input, T68i , SW Version R2B025.

That will leave they.re as they.re ..will not change, tried it with it's , etc. Does the same for all.

Any other ideas?

Hi!

Perhaps a software update will help?
Beacause I don't have this problem you
describe, and I have version R5C...
