Survey: Would you buy a Microsoft powered phone? |

There are lots of potential "con"s:
- Blue screen
- Hanging problems like every other Windows CE device
- Power consumption
- Bluetooth support
And some "pro"s:
- MSN messenger would top of my list
- Email access
- HTML browsing (on a very small screen)
- No shortage of Service Packs
So would you spend your own money on a MS phone?
What if I wake up one day and *this* is my real life? |

Never! M$ has problems with stability and the worst thing is their softwares security flaws, I can only imagine what problems this could lead to on mobile phones. And we shouldn't forget how memory and cpu hungry their OS's are....

All depends on services, support one so on. Lets say I would not be the first one to buy it. I have owned 2 Symbian devices before and have the greatest faith in there SW.

Not in this life, never! Once sales level off or drop, they will abandon the platform! Messenger, icq on a phone 2 talk 2 some1! Just call them. Only 1 person i know who is always at the computer and doesnt pick up the phone!

I tend to buy things I like as opposed to companies I like - and it's quite difficult to imagine the Windows platform being abandoned by Microsoft, especially in such an important market as mobile devices!
I'm not saying I love Microsoft - as we all know, their strategy is to hook people on upgrades. I prefer being able to choose.

I got tired of waiting for the P800 so I went and got the XDA. It's a Microsoft powered phone and it's much more useful than my old T68. One thing you have to keep in mind is that Symbian powered phones will never have as much software available as the Microsoft platform. |

Microsoft phones. Never ever. No way.
Neither the operating system, or the applications.
I can't even trust my PC, and there are those many glitches and really stupid things with Outlook for instance when using it remotely (like checking new mails... people who made it didn't test it, it's not possible, it's soooo stupidly done and such a non-sense the way it works). I don't even want to think of having to use this on my mobile phone.
Long live Symbian!!! The one and only! |
