There are more mobile phones in Germany than inhabitants, the telecom industry federation Bitkom has said.
"As of August 1, there were a total of 82.8 million mobile phone accounts in Germany compared with a population of about 82 million,Bitkom calculated.

That's kinda weird. These are phone accounts not just phones. So that would mean that most people have multiple accounts. Why?

probably many buys a lot of prepaid fones and sell it in abroad.

Yeah phone accounts . . . perhaps ONE fone will have 3-4 sims (alternate), one for wifey, one for mistress, one for secretary and one for massager . . .
