Just a small question. In the data counters menu of the k800 (and other models for that matter) what does the B signify? Bytes or Bits ?
O2 are trying to screw me over for GPRS usage from a previous month with ridiculous claims. According to them I was connected about 12hrs a day and on one day 23hrs!! Come on, how did I make calls and txt then. |

There taking you for a mug. Don't let them get away with it. They wont miss the money if they refund you its pennys to them, just tell em what for! |

Bytes. There are 8 bits to 1 byte. 1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte etc etc |

I mean I generally just look at RSS feeds. How big are each of those? |

i've realized that alot of phone companies do stuff like that, they pick random people and give them a bill saying that they've been doing something that costs $__. It's actually a pretty smart tactic seeing as to how many people don't even look at their bills and just pay the amount they're supposed to. |

O2s gprs charges are a mess. They've started charging people now and can't get it right. I got a £250 refund last month for data calls I didn't make. I couldn't I didn't have a phone!
They are gprs/3g not CSD they're charging you for? |

Mate, first of all tell them to stick it!
I work for o2 and your not the first person I have come accross with this issue....how it happens I have no idea.
Some poor guy came into my shop and had a £260 data bill for the previous month....he had a 6230i...need I say more
I called them up and told them there was just no way this could possibly happened, they gave me alot of resistance but in the end I got them to refund the customer for the usage.
Its not uncommon for this to happen, there have been numnerous cases |

How can they be so wrong? I mean all the other companies in all the other countries get it right so you would think there was a working system for it. |

Well I got them to refund this months data bill (which is actually last months ...? Another thing that doesnt make sense charging a month behind everything else)
But I know the bill for August will be the same as I have used RSS feed pretty much everyday just to check sports news. Its utter rubbish, they say I downloaded 6mb in a day just from RSS feeds. In fact the guy I spoke to didnt even know what they were.
They are just a mess pretty much every month I have to ring up and correct something on my bill. I was meant to be getting £15 deducted from my bill a month (as arranged when I upgraded) yet they were adding it onto the bill..?!!! |

Press them hard for more than just a reimbursment for the aggro they have caused you wasting your own time rectifying their mistakes |

Do you get charged for the amount of bytes sent, recieved or the total?
My counters currently read.....
All sessions.
Sent....679884b recieved...8340286b timer is on...0:48:03.
Does anyone know if this average(had phone 2 weeks), low or excessive? Or will it be included in my contract deal(anytime 100)?
In other words am I going to get charged loads of money at the end of the month? |

that means you've downloaded 8mb of data (or 8,000 kb) check your rate/kb and you'll see how much you owe. |
