I plan to setup my K800 to play through my car stereo by:

- sitting it in a holder (HCH-66)
- plugging it into power via the cigarette lighter
- jack the audio adapter off that into the back of my stereo (MMC-60)

But I can't find a car charger that has the two ports. What I want to know is - is it possible to cut and combine a two port wall carger with a standard car charger.

Or is one already available?

For your reference, I am of course referring to this holder. Cheers!

EDIT: See below for final result!

the cigarette charger will allow you to plug the Stero cabel into the bottom of it,so you wont need any extra hardware

The one advertised here doesn't appear to be that way?

Does the official Sony Ericsson way have this? And might you have a link to it?

Cheers - Jason.

I remember seening a the MMR-60 FM transmitter.

with a K750i (in its cradle)
the CLA-60 plugged into the cradle
Then the FM Tranmitter plugged into the CLA-60

When you buy any SE cradle, the bottom of it allows you to plug accessories directly into it, but you can remove the plug at the bottom if you want to plg directly into a carkit

Great news, thanks!

For reference's sake, here is the charger:

The only reason I wasn't considering the FM transmitter was quality reasons. I've got an iTrip with my iPod currently, and really feel I need a hardwired solution now. At least now I know I can use that charger and plug the audio cable into the base of it, or as you say - directly into the holder.

Mission Accomplished!
I went out and bought all the stuff yesterday (including a long-overdue new head unit) and installed it all with ease, last night.

I'm very happy with the result!

It all combined with my HPM-70 headphones, enabling me to create a great, inexpensive alternative to a full-fledged car kit.

I can listen to music from my K800 (the quality is great, esp. with the head unit's eq.) and the music fades out when a call comes in - which is delivered through the car stereo!

And of course - I've set up voice dialling, which works flawlessly with the hidden microphone!

No cables, and no bloody iTrip giving me static, or iPod giving me ‘out of battery’. Once the high capacity M2's are out, I'll really be in business!

Cheers to those who helped inspire me on this! - Jason.

Of course I;'d love to show you some snaps of the phone sitting in the cradle - but I guess that's one of the drawbacks of a cemeraphone!

And yes - I drive a Daewoo.
