Hi,i hav gt blutooth dongle....and when ever i connect it to the pc... win xp detects it automatically and installs it.....but now i formatted my pc few days ago...and now when i connect blutooth to my pc....it installs perfectly but when i send any file to any mobile....it gives me the following error :
The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.
If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.
Need help in solving this....

did you just plug the bluetooth adapter straight into the pc or install all of the software that came with the dongle - you should have done the latter otherwise your using the crap microsoft driver which is completely useless unless your sending from pc to pc, in which case its still completely useless
Mobile working solution: Acer Aspire Gemstone Blue 6920G + DVB-T ExpressCard + Merlin XU870 + 3 5GB/mo Mobile Broadband HTC TyTN II + T-Mo Flext 25 W'n'W Nokia 5300 + T-Mo Everyone PAYG |

I on the other hand seem to prefer the generic windows drivers for bluetooth due to my not so good experiences with the likes of bluesoleil and stuff... But then, its just a matter of preference...

But in case of the original porter, the dongle worked fine on windws previously... Er.. I'm slightly unsure if he was using the built in windows drivers...

I installed BlueSoleil...but it gives me an error that your Application is not liscenced and BlueSoleil will now run in evaluation mode (5 MB Data Transfer Only) .....Any one having patch for that?

Try uninstalling bluetooth software. reboot. Install software WITHOUT dongle fitted to pc. Shutdown. Put dongle in. Reboot. XP should recognise new device. Put your software disc back in but dont let in reinstall. Open your device manager on PC and search your lists for large yellow question mark. Right click and select update driver. follow path but point location as your drive with cd in. Let it install then reboot. Select bluetooth name for pc and pair with phone. |

Alternately, remove bluesoleil completely. Remove the dingle.Restart the system. When powered on, plug in the dongle and check if the dongle is detected by Windows? This has worked for me everytime. But you would require Windows XP SP2...

I've connected my phone via Bluetooth USB Adapter. I have Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. When I inserted the adapter in the usb port it installed automatically, not searching for driver CD or else. It didn't required an internet connection to install (search for drivers online). So I want to ask about the widcom bluetooth drivers. What's that and how does it work? |
