A nut is slashing mororists tyres because he believes they have been using their mobile phones while driving.

The mystery "vigilante" leaves a sinister note on his victims' windscreens saying: "Warning. You have been seen driving while using your mobile phone."

So far twenty motorists have been targeted in and around Gosport,Hants.

Hi Axxxr and all,
You say he believes they were using their phones, it would be one thing if they are but quite different if they are not. In this age of bluetooth and good quality hands free solutions it is unacceptable to both drive and use a phone IMO. People die because of this abuse and the number of people that are still prepared to do it even with kids in tow never ceases to amaze me. Who knows why this person is resorting to this action maybe they have lost a loved one to a mobile using driver. I am not saying it is right as the Police have the power to inflict the correct penalties and it is them that should do so.

Yeah, if they ("victims") actually did drive while using their phones, then good for them, they deserve to have their tyres slashed. Serves them right.
There has been more then 5 occasions where morons on their phones swerved into my lane without looking in the rear view mirror because they were too busy babbling away on their cell phones. On rare occasions when they do notice their mistakes, they give me a stupid sheepish grin. It really pisses me off. Makes me wanna cut them off, get down and strangle them.

Yay to that vigilante ! Now if only he would move to Malaysia where I live...
Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Slightly off topic, but what I want to see is someone slashing the tyres of those selfish idiots who park in disabled spaces when they plainly aren't disabled and don't have a disabled sticker. My sister and mother-in-law are disabled and have blue badges, there's been many a time we've found a non-disabled person parking illegally. Once my mother-in-law confronted someone over this, they said it was because it was windy and his wife had just had her hair done, so my wife's mum went over to her, messed her hair up and said 'no longer a problem'! I think they moved their car.

Anyway, back on topic, slashing someone's tyres for using a mobile seems a bit of a disproportionate tactic despite it being illegal, this guy should target people misusing disabled spaces!

that annoys the hell out of me too sammy, my old man was disabled and we used to get it all the time, they are clearly labelled for disabled people. i think they should carry huge fines for people that cant obey a simple rule.. and i mean big like a good £10k.

that would stop them doing it..
