k750i w/ headset problem |

I got a problem when listening to music/ "trying" to make phonecalls using a headset. (The bundled k750i headset and the 810i set)
If trying to make a phonecall the sound is EXTREMELY low or not there at all. The other person is able to hear me. I've tried turning up the volume and updating software via SEUS.
And when listening to music, mp3 files and the bundled tunes, the sound is very distorted, some music sounds ok but as the singing begins the voice is all distorted.. Kinda hard to explain...
Can anyone help me? |

I dont have that problem im afraid but i do have another annoying one, when i put the headset (Walkman W800i) into my K750i, it sometimes does not recognise that it is in and if i wiggle it, it recognises it. This means that when it is in my pocket and it gets moved by me walking when listening to music, it starts using the normal profile meaning i get the music coming out of the loudspeaker! Very annoying!! Any one else have this problem? |

@both - could be a problem with your fastport connector on the phone, try giving it a clean with something like a toothbrush (no water or toothpaste! ) and clear any dirt/dust/crud that's accumulated on the connector.
Could also be a problem with the connector on the headphones - I had a problem with a W800i not charging, it was one of the pins on the charger that was pushing itself into the charging port and not making proper contact with the connector on the phone.

I tried cleaning with a toothbrush and it improved it slightly. I did also have that prob with the charger. I think the bottom of the phone was just needing a clean lol |

I think fastport charger connectors are susceptible to this, I'm not a big fan of that design, prefer simpler designs like that of the Nokia charger, less to go wrong, get dirty or break!
Glad it's helped a bit, the other option is to VERY carefully clean the crud out with a pin, making sure you don't scratch the connector's surface coatings.

I had the same problem. Try cleaning the port with bottle of compressed air. I think it's gonna help. It worked nice for me. |
