My k800i is setup to do it. the main thing is that you have to have the widcomm bluetooth stack, and you have to disable the windows bluetooth stack. then it's pretty easy. you just make a new data account, and select to use the bluetooth device, on your computer you bridge the bluetooth connection with your internet.

It took a while to figure out, but only because i was trying to do it with windows, and did not know about the widcomm stack.

if i'm about 20-30+ft away it's 10-20 kb/s if i'm under 10ft it's like 30-40kb/s... and while not practical if i put the phone right next to the bluetooth dongle, it was like 80kb/s

I'm thinking of getting a usb extension for my bluetooth so i can enjoy bluetooth internet on my phone throughout the house.

Hi, i've done all the steps given in the howardforum and the connection is set between the phone and pc, but i'm not able access internet on my k750i. Do i need to do some setup in the windows networking. I'm trying with data cable supplied with the phone.

I think my K800 doesn't make a PAN connection because it has a network lock.
Choosing my pc's bluetooth connection as data account gives a 'Locked' message

Pan connection should be initiated from the phone to be able to use the pc's broadband.
That's the real problem with locked phones, they can't choose another account then the gprs one and this account can't be modified either.
The trouble is that on my K800 the bluetooth account is available but I can't select it
You also should bridge the pc's broadband connection (lan) and the bluetooth pan connection to enable pan.
All this has been done on my pc but it won't work.

hmm...the BT data account is either locked here, that means i can't edit it,but i CAN select it for internet connection on the phone...also i've managed a bridge between my dial-up conncetion and pan conncetion......but all of these are insane,no use,it wont work, donno what the problem is,though all of these are done on my pc and phone

I was able to set it up without the widcomm drivers or bluesoleil - I'm using XP sp2.

I didn't know I had to match the proxy port settings of the internet connection to the port proxy settings of the phone.

After I did that it was fine.
