I'm getting an error on one part of the "found new hardware wizard" when its trying to install the software for S_WHCM. I've tried to get windows to install the software automatically but then it said that it cant find it, so I specified the CD drive with the k800 CD in it but it also said the same thing. Where can I find this driver?

If I'm not mistaken then that's the software that lets me see the content of the phone memory through My Computer? I remember looking at my friend's My computer when he had his k800 connected and it had 2 removable drive icons; one for the M2 and the other for the phone mem. Is this correct?

I have the same problem here: when connecting the K800 in file transfer mode, it asks for a S_WHCM driver, which I can't find anywhere (not even in the "Install these drivers first" file from the PC suite). Then it goes on asking for tons of other drivers. At the end, the removable drives don't show up.

The only way I have to browse my K800 from the computer is by putting it in phone mode and using SE's phone browser, which is too slow IMHO.

Anyone?

Thanks

I had this issue with my K800 which was driving me insane but I did resolve it.

I'm not exactly sure what I did but I think I put the phone in File Transfer mode and then went into Device Manger and selected update driver from the devices listed as unrecognised. I think you will find the driver that's missing is the USB Mass storage driver, I may have had the CD in the drive at the same time.

What ever option I choose did resolve the problem so try again and see what happens.

i've solved the problem by going to control panel > add new hardware and the S_WHCM should be there with a question mark symbol next to it..when I clicked on install hardware it managed to find the USB mass storage driver, just like boab2791 said, from the CD (i think) and after that when I went to my computer the phone memory was there and I can browse it without problems..

give it a go and good luck
